Dave is a drummer, singer, and songwriter based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After moving to S.D. in the 60's he began drumming with sax player Dennis Gerald and the popular horn band “The Talismen” which played extensively throughout the region. In the 70's, he joined other local musicians, and formed the original music group “Blueberry Buckle”. The group played from Denver to Chicago and everywhere in between, and included guitarist Boyd Bristow, Dennis Westphal, Al Slaathaug, and singer Susan Osborn who later received a Grammy from her work with Sony records.

The 80's brought a couple fun little groups; Nashville’s “Stan Gunn Show”, an R&B group featuring guitarist Dave Wood called “Rocket 88”, and a stint with “Myron Lee & the Caddies”. In the 90's Dave had the privilege of recording two SD Public Radio programs featuring his original music. It was also in the 90's that he ran into a group of old horn band mates from the "Talismen" and "Pilgrims", and reinvented the spin off group “Special Delivery” playing vintage soul and R&B.

In the new century, Dave has released a CD of original music sponsored by the SD Arts Council featuring long time friend, Grammy guitarist Mike Miller (Chick Corea, Fowler Bros., Bette Midler, and almost everyone else ... in the known universe). Dave continues to play throughout the Midwest with long time regional band, "The Apostles” (jazz standards), "Sound Poet", and jazz trio "String Theory". Dave is also the drummer for the compelling indigenous artist Vince Two Eagles. Vince’s group “Otokahe” (Dakota for "beginnings") reunites Dave, Boyd, and bassist Terry Pospisil. Dave can be regularly seen on the Fox Network with the “Celebrate” band from Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
